Meeting with Mrs. Isabelle Valois, Ambassador of Canada to Morocco

Minister Mohcine Jazouli held a meeting on Tuesday February 28 th , 2024, with Mrs. Isabelle Valois, Ambassador of Canada to Morocco. 

Our countries share a robust bilateral relationship built on mutual values and interests. The notable increase in flows and revenues from Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) from Canada reflects a positive dynamic, exemplified by the active presence of Canadian companies in Morocco. The announcement made last year by Pratt & Whitney regarding their substantial investment of 715 million Moroccan Dirhams and expected to lead to the creation of 250 jobs by the year 2030 is a prominent example, demonstrating the performance of our aerospace industry. 

The meeting was also an opportunity to underscore the importance of convergence, which represents a major challenge to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of public policies. 

“We are committed to driving internal monitoring and evaluation within the executive branch, prioritizing public policies for enhanced efficiency and citizen impact. Given Canada's leadership in this area, we're eager to forge a partnership with institutions to leverage their expertise.”, stated Minister Jazouli.
