
Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab: Meeting of the Board of Directors of the CRI

The Minister of Investment, Convergence and Evaluation of Public Policies, Mr. Karim Zidane, chaired, on Monday, April 21, 2025, in Dakhla, the first Board of Directors meeting of the year of the Regional Investment Center (CRI), in accordance with Law No. 22.24 amending and supplementing Law No. 47.18 on the reform of the CRIs and the establishment of Unified Regional Investment Commissions (CRUI).
In his opening remarks, the Minister recalled the Vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, who places productive investment at the heart of the national strategy for sustainable and inclusive development, particularly in the Southern Provinces. He highlighted the major ongoing structuring projects in the region, such as the Dakhla Atlantic Port, the electrical grid connection, the Tiznit–Dakhla highway, as well as renewable energy initiatives.
The Minister praised the achievements of the CRI in 2024, notably the approval of 118 investment projects with a total value exceeding 2 billion dirhams, expected to generate 2,707 direct jobs. He reaffirmed the importance of effectively implementing the new Investment Charter, particularly through strengthened administrative devolution and the establishment of tailored support mechanisms for SMEs. In this regard, he called for collective mobilization to make the Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab region an integrated and sustainable economic hub, aligned with the Kingdom’s ambitions.
The Board also reviewed the 2024 financial statements and the annual activity report, underlining the Center’s commitment to the continuous improvement of its services. All items on the agenda were unanimously approved by the Board members.
