Investment - Conference on Investment Financing : What Mechanisms for What Needs?

Rabat, jeudi 20 février 2025

The Minister of Investment, Convergence, and Evaluation of Public Policies, Mr. Karim Zidane, took part on Thursday, February 20, 2025, in the conference titled "Investment Financing: What Mechanisms for What Needs?", organized by the National Higher School of Administration in partnership with the Order of Chartered Accountants.

Bringing together high-level experts and institutional leaders, this event served as a platform for discussions on the central role of investment as a strategic driver of Morocco’s economic transformation. Discussions focused on financing mechanisms for private investment and the levers to strengthen an environment conducive to sustainable and innovative investment.

In his opening speech, titled "Investment: A Strategic Lever for Morocco’s Economic Transformation", the Minister emphasized that, thanks to the enlightened vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, Morocco has made bold choices and undertaken structural reforms that have allowed it to establish itself as a leading destination for investment and innovation. He recalled that sustaining this momentum requires the concerted mobilization of all economic and institutional actors to make investment a true driver of inclusive and balanced territorial development.

The Minister also highlighted the importance of integrating young talent and strengthening the role of women in the national economy, considering these issues as fundamental pillars for the country’s future. He thus advocated for a proactive approach to training and entrepreneurship, stressing the need to create job opportunities rather than merely consuming them.

Finally, Mr. Zidane underscored that entrepreneurial spirit and initiative must be instilled from the earliest stages of education. He affirmed that schools provide the ideal foundation for embedding an entrepreneurial mindset, promoting a culture of innovation, and encouraging economic independence.
