Meeting with the Special Envoy of the British Prime Minister for Trade in Morocco

The Minister Delegate in charge of Investment, Convergence, and Evaluation of Public Policies, Mr. Mohcine JAZOULI, held, on Thursday, February 29th, 2024, a meeting with the Special Envoy of the British Prime Minister for Trade in Morocco, Mr. Robert BUTLER.  

The relationship between Morocco and the UK is characterized by deep mutual respect and friendship, mirrored in the longstanding ties between our royal families. 

This meeting provided an excellent opportunity to discuss ways to further strengthen the Uk-Morocco economic ties and explore avenues for direct investment in key sectors such as renewable energy, aerospace, agrifood, or pharmaceuticals.   

“Bilateral trade between our nations has witnessed a significant increase of nearly 53% from 2020 to 2022, indicating a robust and expanding economic partnership. The UK's status as fourth largest investor in Morocco highlights the UK's confidence in Morocco's business environment but also points out the country's appeal as a prime destination for foreign direct investment.” Stated Minister JAZOULI.
