Rabat: The Minister receives a delegation of the Sunrise Group

The Minister of Investment, Convergence and Evaluation of Public Policies, Mr. Karim Zidane, received on Friday, July 25, 2025, in Rabat, Mr. Lei Xu, President of the Sunrise Group, a global leader in the textile industry, accompanied by a high-level delegation.

The meeting was held in the presence of the Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development (AMDIE), the Regional Investment Center of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, and the Regional Investment Center of Fès-Meknès.

This strategic project — whose investment agreement was signed under the chairmanship of the Head of Government on March 10, 2025 — involves the establishment of two integrated textile units in Skhirat and Fès, with a total investment of 2.3 billion dirhams and the creation of over 7,000 direct jobs.

The project is progressing at a steady pace: construction work is scheduled to begin in September 2025, with production expected to start in 2026.

The President of Sunrise was accompanied by representatives of several companies within textile ecosystem, who came to explore opportunities for launching new textile investment projects in Morocco — a strong signal of renewed international investor confidence in the Kingdom’s industrial positioning.
