Japan-Korea Roadshow: Strengthening Economic Ties between Morocco and Korea

As part of the second phase of the Japan-Korea Roadshow, held from November 25 to 29, 2024, in collaboration with the Moroccan Investment and Export Development Agency (AMDIE), the Minister of Investment, Convergence, and Evaluation of Public Policies, Mr. Karim Zidane, held fruitful meetings in Seoul with the Minister of Trade, Industry, and Energy, Mr. Cheong INKYO, and the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport, Mr. Park SANG-WOO, aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and exploring new opportunities for collaboration, as well as establishing new mechanisms to stimulate trade and investment.
On this occasion, the Minister took part in the "Morocco Now" conference, organized under the Morocco Now initiative to present Morocco as a prime destination for investment. The conference highlighted Morocco's assets, emphasizing the numerous economic opportunities available for Korean companies and investors.
The Minister and his accompanying delegation also held discussions with strategic stakeholders such as KITA, Kexim Bank, and Korea Aerospace Industries, with the goal of strengthening and diversifying cooperation channels.
Additionally, meetings were organized with several Korean companies operating in key sectors such as automotive, electronics, railways, and shipbuilding, including LG Energy Solutions, Hyundai Motors, HD Hyundai Heavy Industries, Hyundai Rotem, POSCO, Samsung C&T, Seoil, Hands, and LX International.
