
Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra: 15ᵗʰ Board of Directors meeting of the CRI

The Minister of Investment, Convergence, and Evaluation of Public Policies, Mr. Karim Zidane, chaired the 15ᵗʰ Board Meeting of the Regional Investment Center (CRI) of Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra, held on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, in Laâyoune. This meeting is part of the ongoing reform of Regional Investment Centers, launched in accordance with Law No. 22-24 amending and supplementing Law No. 47-18 on the reform of CRIs and the creation of Regional Unified Investment Commissions (CRUI).
In his opening remarks, the Minister emphasized that this reform aligns with the broader reform dynamic pursued by the Kingdom to enhance investment, promote sustainable growth, and place job creation at the heart of national priorities, in line with the High Directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him.
On this occasion, he also praised the strong commitment of regional stakeholders to socio-economic development and investment promotion. Mr. Zidane highlighted the significant progress made by the CRI of Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra in 2024, while urging continued efforts to improve the business climate and boost the region's investment appeal, in accordance with the objectives set by the New Investment Charter.
During the session, Mr. Mohammed Jifer, Director of the CRI Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra, presented the financial statements for the 2024 fiscal year as well as the Center’s annual activity report. The Council took note of the achievements of the CRI and the CRUI, which reviewed 266 investment files, resulting in approved projects exceeding MAD 6 billion and the projected creation of 2,594 stable jobs in the region.
All resolutions submitted were unanimously approved by the Board members, reflecting a strong collective commitment to a bold regional dynamic.
