Rabat, March 15, 2024
The Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of Investment, Convergence, and Evaluation of Public Policies, Mr. Mohcine JAZOULI, chaired today the launch meeting for the study on the development of the framework for the convergence of public policies.
This initiative is part of the Government's strong commitment to respond to His Majesty the King's High Guidelines, "to pool efforts around strategic priorities, so that our country is even more capable of continuing its development process and meeting external challenges" (Expert from the speech of His Majesty King Mohammed VI may God assist Him at the Parliament on the occasion of the opening of the 1st session of the 1st legislative year of the 11th legislature).
This strategic project aims to harmonize the practices of developing and implementing public policies, to achieve better convergence between them, and to strengthen ministries' capacities in this regard. The goal is to maximize the concrete impact of public policies on the daily lives of citizens of our country.
The objectives of this study, conducted with the assistance of the international cabinet specialized in public policies, Tony Blair Institute, are on one hand to define the requirements, tools, and processes associated with the formulation and adoption of coherent, complementary, and harmonious public policies, and on the other hand, to define the guiding principles and standards to be applied during the implementation of public policies to maximize their convergence.
During this meeting, emphasis was placed on the need to produce concrete and quickly actionable tools within the framework of this study, with the aim of strengthening existing frameworks and mechanisms, in order to make Public Policy Convergence a reflex for decision-makers.
