Morocco attends OECD ministerial meeting
Minister Mohcine Jazouli was invited by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) to share the Kingdom of Morocco's achievements and pioneering role in Responsible Business Conduct (RBC), under the enlightened vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him.
The ministerial meeting, held under the theme "Promoting and Fostering Responsible Business Conduct in the Global Economy", was co-chaired by the United States and France, with Morocco, the United Kingdom, Canada, Chile and Japan as vice-chairs. It enabled Ministers to reflect strategically on the role of Responsible Business Conduct as a cornerstone for sustainable growth and inclusive socio-economic development.
On this occasion, Minister Mohcine Jazouli highlighted the Kingdom of Morocco's achievements, recalling that "Under the enlightened vision of His Majesty the King, may God assist Him, Morocco has adhered to the OECD Declaration on International Investment and Multinational Enterprises, chosen the Responsible Business Conduct standards and reaffirmed its commitment to combating climate change, We have adopted a National Strategy for Sustainable Development and we are the 1st non-EU country to take part in the EU's Green Deal." He also pointed out that the new Investment Charter is based on the OECD guidelines and takes into account the Responsible Business Conduct (RBC) criteria.
It is aimed at all investments and all investors and will make it possible to support private investment and develop strategic sectors and businesses of the future. It aims to promote a low-carbon, inclusive economy and to overcome territorial and social disparities.
