Signing of two agreements for the implementation of Nexans' 3rd cable plant in the Kingdom

The Minister of Investment, Convergence, and Evaluation of Public Policies, Mr. Mohcine JAZOULI, the Minister of Industry and Commerce, Mr. Ryad MEZZOUR, the Minister of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development, Mrs. Laila BENALI, the General Director of ONEE, Mr. Abderrahim EL HAFIDI, the General Director of AMDIE, Mr. Ali SEDDIKI, and the CEO of Nexans, Mr. Christopher GUERRIN, proceeded on Thursday, December 14, 2023, to sign two agreements with Nexans for the establishment of a new cable lant in Morocco.

With an investment project totaling nearly 1.11 billion Dirhams by 2026, this investment aims to create a third medium-voltage energy cable plant, expected to generate over 200 jobs.

In his speech on this occasion, Mr. JAZOULI confirmed that this collaboration, bringing together the public and private sectors, is committed to environmental and socio-economic goals, thereby unlocking the economic potential of Morocco and the entire African continent.
