Working Meeting with CalPERS and CDPQ

Minister Mohcine JAZOULI held an important meeting with CalPERS (the California Public Employees' Retirement System), the largest pension fund in the United States with over $450 billion in assets under management, and La Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ), the second-largest pension fund in Canada with over $310 billion in assets under management. Also present were Mr. BENCHAABOUN, Director General of the Mohammed VI Fund, and Mrs. BENKHADRA, Director General of ONHYM.

During this meeting, they presented Morocco's strategy for developing private investments and the significant role that the Mohammed VI Fund will play in this perspective. Additionally, they discussed the various opportunities for financing investments available in the Kingdom, including the ambitious Nigeria-Morocco gas pipeline project. Representatives of these pension funds expressed keen interest in expanding their activities in Morocco and applauded the reforms undertaken by Morocco under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him.
