
Béni Mellal-Khénifra: Revitalization and Territorialization of Private Investment at the Heart of the Minister's Visit

As part of the implementation of the national private investment strategy, guided by the enlightened Vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, and aimed at strengthening Morocco's attractiveness for both domestic and international investments, the Minister of Investment, Convergence, and the Evaluation of Public Policies, Mr. Karim Zidane, visited the Béni Mellal-Khénifra region on Friday, January 17, 2025.
On this occasion, a meeting was held in the presence of the Wali of the region, the President of the Regional Council, the Director General of AMDIE, as well as several key players in the regional investment ecosystem. This meeting provided an opportunity to present the ambitious objectives of mobilizing private investment and creating jobs in the region, with a strategic vision extending through 2026.
Speaking at this meeting, the Minister emphasized the importance of convergence and collaboration among all stakeholders to achieve common goals. He underlined the need for a harmonious and integrated approach to achieve these objectives, affirming that productive investment is a fundamental lever for ensuring comprehensive and sustainable development across the various regions of the Kingdom.
During his visit, the Minister also met with investors operating in various sectors within the Béni Mellal-Khénifra region. This meeting served as an opportunity to explore ways to further boost investment, improve the business climate, and address the challenges faced by investors. He commended the crucial role played by the Regional Investment Center (CRI) in supporting projects, facilitating administrative procedures, and promoting the promising opportunities the region offers.
Furthermore, the Minister chaired a working session with the CRI-BMK team. Discussions focused on the Center’s efforts to support investors and project developers, as well as on updating the territorial offer to enhance the region’s attractiveness.
Finally, the visit concluded with a presentation of the plans for the new headquarters of the Regional Investment Center. This project aims to improve the working environment and the reception of investors, aligning with the sustained efforts to encourage investment and fully capitalize on the region’s economic potential.
