Green Hydrogen: Meeting of the Steering Committee for the Morocco Offer

The Minister Delegate in charge of Investment, Convergence and the Evaluation of Public Policies, Mr Mohcine JAZOULI, took part, on Thursday 29 August 2024 in Rabat, in the meeting of the steering committee for 'Morocco's offer’ for the development of the green hydrogen sector.

The meeting was chaired by the Head of Government, Mr. Aziz AKHANNOUCH, and materializes the High Directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, with a view to accelerating the development of Morocco's green hydrogen offer and meeting effectively the expectations of national and international investors expressing interest in this sector.

The meeting allowed for the examination of the bids received so far, discussing the methodology that would be adopted to choose the projects by putting in place concrete criteria for such selection. To this day, the platform of the Moroccan Agency for Sustainable Energy has received nearly 40 applications, proof of the marked interest expressed by national and international investors in this field.

At the end of the meeting, the Minister stated that “offers had been received from all over the world, including the United States, Europe, Asia, Australia and Morocco”. He also pointed out that “these offers, numbering 40, covered various regions, extending from north to south of Morocco”.
