Morocco – China: Meeting with the Vice-Governor of Anhui Province of the People's Republic of China, and the Chairman of Gotion High Tech Co

The Ministry of Investment, Convergence, and Evaluation of Public Policies, along with the Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development (AMDIE), held a meeting, on Monday, July 29th, 2024, with Mr. Shan XIANGQIAN, Vice-Governor of Anhui Province of the People's Republic of China, and Mr. Li ZHEN, Chairman of Gotion High Tech Co.
Since the strategic partnership signed in 2016 by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, May God Assist Him, and His Excellency President Xi Jinping of the People's Republic of China, the relations between the two countries have been marked by significant investments, increased trade, and fruitful collaborations in key sectors.
Gotion High Tech's investment is a brilliant example of this. The decision by Gotion to establish the first electric battery Gigafactory in Africa in Morocco reflects our commitment to a shared future based on innovation and sustainable progress and demonstrates strong confidence in the Kingdom as a privileged investment destination.
The cooperation and investment opportunities between Morocco and China, especially with Anhui Province, are very promising, particularly in key sectors such as industry and technology, e-mobility, agriculture and agro-industry, as well as infrastructure and construction.
