Parliament: Discussion of the draft Decree related to the reform of the CRIs and the creation of CRUIs

Rabat, Thursday, 19-20 march, 2025. 

The Minister of Investment, Convergence and Evaluation of Public Policies, Mr. Karim Zidane, participated on March 19 and 20, 2025, in the meetings of the Finance and Economic Development Committee in the House of Representatives and the Finance, Planning, and Economic Development Committee in the House of Councilors, to discuss the draft Decree-Law No. 2.25.168 amending Law No. 47.18 related to the reform of the Regional Investment Centers and the creation of unified regional investment committees. This initiative is part of the implementation of the special support mecanism aimed at  VSEs/SMEs, as outlined in Framework Law No. 03.22, which acts as an investment charter.

The purpose of this draft Decree-Law is to ensure the effective implementation of the special support mecanism for VSEs/SMEs, with a territorial approach aligned with the spirit of advanced regionalization. This will be achieved through enhancing the role of regional investment centers and unified regional committees to support this crucial category of businesses, which play a major role in job creation and strengthening the national economic fabric. The initiative also aims to ensure effective institutional coordination and appropriate regional governance for this mecanism.
